I completed Medical School at the University of Melbourne and Core Training at The Royal Women’s Hospital, Melbourne. This included time in Ballarat and Warrnambool. I then returned to WA to complete Advanced Training at King Edward Memorial Hospital, and served as the Chief Registrar in my final 6 months. I spent 9 months as the Fertility fellow, which included additional training in paediatric and adolescent gynaecology.
Prior to my medical training I completed a Bachelor of Science, Forensice Science (Hons) at Curtin University
I am an Obstetrician delivering at St John of God Subiaco.
I have extensive experience in supporting women in low and high risk pregnancies, and apply evidence-based medicine while considering each individual’s unique and personal circumstances. I am passionate about providing the information and resources that families need to navigate not only the antenatal period and delivery but also the often challenging post-natal phase.
I provide fertility investigation and treatment with the team at City Fertility (Fertility Specialists of Western Australia) at Bethesda Hospital, Claremont. It is an enormous privilege to assist couples on their fertility journey and continue to look after them throughout their pregnancy, or perhaps the creation of a whole family! I will also be there to support you with investigation and treatment of miscarriage and ectopic pregnancy.
As a Gynaecologist I have the expertise to care for women with menstrual issues, symptoms of The Menopause, uterine abnormalities, pelvic pain, abnormal cervical screening, ovarian cysts and vulval disorders. As a generalist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, I strive to care for my patients as needed through all phases and changes of an individuals life.
I spent time in a remote Papua New Guinean village medical post as a medical student which increased my appreciation for the high quality of maternity care we are afforded in Australia. It also strengthened my passion for womens’ health advocacy – both internationally and at home.
I am a mum to 2 small children, and am well versed in laundering Emma Wiggle dresses, hand washing hands-free breast pumping equipment and saving hazardous objects from toddlers mouths.
